Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If a storm comes thru middle of the day do you reopen or close for the rest of the day?
A: No, we will reopen once we determine the weather conditions are safe for normal operations.

Q: I came to one of your locations during business hours and I was turned away due to the onset of a severe storm, is this acceptable policy?
A: Rarely do we have to close a location in an expedited fashion to get our staff to safety; in this case we must turn away customers. We appreciate your understanding that we value safety over sales.

Q: I came by at the posted opening time and the place was not open, why?
A: We sometimes do a delayed opening in the early spring and late fall due to cold weather and/or rain. Generally this is a one hour delay.

Q: Why do you not always notify customers thru social media (Facebook) regarding your closures?
A: We operate 4 locations; the weather may be very nice in one part of town while there is a bad storm in another. Therefore, to not confuse and/or annoy and to avoid "over posting" to the customer, we generally do not post when we close a specific location due to weather. If you are questioning whether a specific location may be closed we encourage you to call that location or call our office at 704-821-6069

Q: Do the staff at the particular location make the decision to close or does it come from an admin level?
A: Both. Many times the decision is made by the on duty admin and staff at the location, and also communication from one location to another using the old fashioned method of: "How bad is it?"
